What You’ll Get in Reading Tutoring Session

What the Class Is Like

Each session is warm, focused, and fully 1-on-1. Your child works directly with a trained tutor who guides them through:

Word Decoding – sounding out tricky words with confidence
Word Mastery – building accuracy through repetition and practice
Reading Confidence – celebrating small wins and encouraging progress

We also offer a Word Decoding Group Class. This class hosts 4-6 children to learn together at a discounted price. It ONLY covers Word Decoding so students will still need to book a 1:1 for Word Mastery. The Group Class provides an opportunity for a second weekly session for a discounted price.

Our tutors create a supportive, judgment-free space where kids feel safe to try, make mistakes, and grow. It’s not just about reading better — it’s about feeling good while doing it.

What You’ll Need

To make the most of each session, here’s what your child will need:

A Functional Computer or Tablet

Must work well with Zoom (no frozen screens or crashes).

A Strong, Stable Internet Connection

This is key. Unstable connections — especially in cars — can interrupt learning time.

Pencil & Paper (Optional)

Sometimes we jot things down, play word games, or practice handwriting. Having these nearby is helpful.

Set your child up in a quiet, distraction-free space, and we’ll take care of the rest!

Parental Involvement

The truth is — daily reading practice is essential for kids who are behind. While we provide strong support during sessions, your child will make the fastest progress when reading is reinforced at home.

Here’s how you can help:

- 🗣️ Review weekly words and sounds with your child between sessions
- 📖 Encourage daily reading, even for just 10–15 minutes
- ✅ Stay consistent — progress builds with practice!

Not available to practice at home?

That’s okay! If home support is limited, we recommend booking:

At least 2 sessions/week for strong results (On average our students boost 1 reading level after 4 sessions)
4-5 sessions/week for maximum progress without parental involvement

💳 Payments & Subscriptions

We’ve designed our payment system to be flexible, predictable, and easy for families. When you enroll in one of our tutoring packs, you’ll prepay weekly to reserve your spot. No large monthly fees.

For example:

If you select 2 private sessions per week the cost is $70. You’ll prepay for one week at a time with the option to cancel or reschedule any session with a 24 hour notice.

This helps you budget more easily while securing a consistent tutor and time slot for your child.

🔁 All payments are automated — no need to rebook or re-pay weekly.

How to Book:

Step 1: Schedule an assessment. You will receive a Zoom link.
Step 2: After your assessment, you’ll receive a email to pick your plan (1-private/1group, 2 private, 4 private, 5 private/week)
Step 3: Use the calendar to reserve your spot weekly, but only pay upfront for the first week. We will auto charge you weekly to prepaid for the next week’s schedule session. Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your session for no charge for cancellations.

📌 Assessments are booked and paid all at once. You’ll select your time and pay during checkout.

Canceling or Rescheduling:

Sessions can be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance for a credit.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable, as your tutor’s time is already reserved.
If you wish to end your subscription you can do so at anytime. You are responsible to pay for any session you have used or are less than 24 hours away. All other scheduled sessions will be cancelled and you will not be responsible for paying for them.
