About Accomplished Kids

Accomplished Kids was founded by an educator, curriculum developer, and parent who understands—personally and professionally—what it means to support a struggling reader.

Like many families, my journey began inside traditional daycare and public school systems. Everything seemed fine—until my daughter reached 3rd grade and began struggling significantly with reading fluency. Despite intervention and support, progress was slow, confidence was slipping, and frustration was growing.

It became clear that the methods being used were not addressing the root of the problem.

The Turning Point

Through extensive research, hands-on instruction, and a deep dive into evidence-based reading science, I discovered what was missing: explicit phonics instruction, decoding skills, and structured literacy strategies that teach children how reading works.

When I made the decision to homeschool and implement these strategies consistently, the results were undeniable.
In one semester, my daughter made more progress than she had in years of traditional intervention. She didn’t just improve—she gained confidence, independence, and clarity as a reader.

That experience changed everything.

Our Mission

To help children read accurately, confidently, and on grade level—and to actively push back against the growing number of elementary students who enter middle school struggling with literacy.

Why Accomplished Kids Exists

Accomplished Kids was created to ensure that families don’t have to navigate this journey alone—or waste valuable time on approaches that don’t work.

Our programs are designed for students in grades 2–5 who:

  • Guess or skip words when reading

  • Read below grade level despite effort and instruction

  • Feel frustrated, discouraged, or avoid reading altogether

We focus on structured, sound-based instruction that builds accurate reading behaviors first—because accuracy is the foundation for fluency, comprehension, and confidence.

How We Support Students

Every student at Accomplished Kids begins with a Free Reading Assessment to understand how they read and what support will be most effective.

Based on the assessment, students may be recommended into:

  • Small-Group Reading Intervention through our 9-Week Accomplished Reader Program, or

  • Individualized 1:1 Reading Support when more intensive instruction is needed

Placement decisions are based on instructional need—not a one-size-fits-all approach. Families leave with clear next steps and a recommendation designed to support meaningful progress.

Our Belief

“I didn’t want my child feeling like a failure at school when I knew she was trying her best. Structured literacy strategies changed everything for us. My daughter now reads on grade level—and I am deeply thankful.”
